Sr.Biotechnologist/Team Lead/Cell Culture/Inoculum Lab at Oncobiologics

Fabian Barona has extensive work experience in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry. Fabian started their career at Eli Lilly and Company in 2007, where they had roles as a cell culture and inoculum lab technician. In this role, they performed scale-up operations in mammalian and cell culture fermentation, assisted in the scale-up process of mammalian cell lines, and conducted growth studies to enhance protein expression and maintain cell viability. Fabian also had experience with writing and reviewing standard operating procedures (SOPs), batch records, and data logbooks.

In 2018, Fabian joined Oncobiologics Inc. as a Senior Biotechnologist and later became a Team Lead in the Cell Culture/Inoculum Lab. Fabian continued to demonstrate their expertise in cell culture and played a leadership role in their team.

Fabian then transitioned to Celgene in 2019, where they served as a Senior Lead Manufacturing CAR-T. Fabian brought their knowledge and experience in biotechnology to contribute to the CAR-T manufacturing process.

In the same year, Fabian joined Bristol-Myers Squibb as a Senior Team Lead, and later took on the role of Supervisor in CAR T Manufacturing. Fabian continued to demonstrate their leadership abilities and expanded their responsibilities in manufacturing management.

Currently, Fabian is working at Bristol Myers Squibb as a Manufacturing Manager. Fabian brings their vast experience and expertise to oversee manufacturing operations.

Fabian Barona holds a degree in Biotechnology from RVCC. Fabian also has additional certifications including ASQ-Certified GMP and RVCC-Certified Biotechnology.
