Objective:

A Customer Service Representative (CSR) in Procedure Authorization will be responsible for assisting patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies to ensure a smooth and efficient authorization workflow. 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Service all incoming calls from patients, facilities, hospitals, imaging centers, insurance companies, and providers.
    • Provide clear and accurate information to patients regarding the authorization process, requirements, and timelines.
    • Address and resolve patient concerns or issues related to procedure authorization promptly and professionally.
    • Escalate concerns as necessary.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D.
  • 1 year of healthcare customer service experience.
  • Experience with CPT Coding and ICD10 preferred.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Strong drive and work ethic; ability to work independently as well in a small team, carry out assignments to completion.
  • Demonstrating resilience in the face of difficulties.
  • Must be able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously; demonstrate a high degree of confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Organized with attention to detail.
