Deborah M. Brown

Deborah M. Brown has a diverse background in the pharmaceutical and biotech industries. Deborah M. is currently working as a Lead, Strategic Partnerships at EVERSANA since July 2021. Previously, they had roles at Oncolytics Biotech Inc. as a Corporate Director starting in November 2017 and at Sernova Corp. as a Corporate Director and Chair of the Governance Committee from May 2019 to May 2023. Deborah M. also served as a Corporate Director at Cardiol Therapeutics Inc. from September 2018 to September 2021.

Before these positions, Deborah was a Managing Partner at Accelera Canada, a consulting company specializing in guiding emerging biopharma companies, from May 2017 to July 2021. Deborah M. also worked as an Advisor to the Dean at Queen's University from May 2015 to December 2017.

Deborah has a long history with EMD Serono, Inc. where they held the positions of President/Managing Director from 2003 to 2014 and Executive Vice President, Neuroimmunology Business Unit from 2000 to 2003. Prior to that, they worked at Serono Canada Inc. as General Manager from July 1999 to August 2000 and as Business Unit Director, Neurology from August 1997 to July 1999. Deborah M. also held the position of Director of Marketing at Serono Canada Inc. from March 1995 to August 1997.

Deborah's early career included a role as Manager, International Regulatory at Pasteur Merieux Connaught from 1989 to 1992, where they led a team in pursuing vaccine registrations worldwide.

Deborah M. Brown completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Science at the University of Guelph from 1980 to 1984. Following that, they pursued their MBA in business at the Ivey Business School at Western University from 1993 to 1995. Most recently, they attended the University of Toronto - Rotman School of Management from 2018 to 2020 to complete the Corporate Directors Course, earning the ICD.D. designation.
