Doug Spicer

Scientist II at OncoResponse

Doug Spicer has a wealth of work experience, having been employed in various roles since 1998. Doug began their career as Laboratory Manager at Thetagen, a fee for service laboratory providing DNA sequencing and genotyping. In 1999, they moved to Prolinx as a Scientist, working with biotechnology discovery tools using the proprietary synthetic affinity pair of PDBA and SHA. In 2002, they took on a Scientist role at Research International Incorporated, a company specializing in hardware implementation of research and development efforts. In 2005, they became Laboratory Manager at Spaltudaq, a biotech startup focusing on infectious disease and cancer human monoclonal therapeutics. From 2006 to 2009, they worked as an Associate Research Scientist at the McLaughlin Research Institute, where they focused on understanding the genetic control of normal development and disease susceptibility. From 2009 to 2012, they worked as a Research Associate Automation at the Institute for Systems Biology, where they prepared samples for Mass Spectrometric analysis and curated and prepared samples for the MRM Atlas. In 2018, they became a Senior Scientist at Biodesix, Inc. and in 2019 they took on a Research Associate IV role at the Institute for Systems Biology. Most recently, in 2021, Doug Spicer began working as a Scientist II at OncoResponse Inc.

Doug Spicer attended the University of Washington from 1978 to 1988 and studied Cellular and Molecular Biology.
