Ascensión Heredia Rodríguez

Ascensión Heredia Rodríguez has extensive experience in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industry. Ascensión currently holds the position of Chief Operating Officer at Oncostellae since September 2020. Prior to this, they worked as a Coordinator and Lecturer in the Master in Business Administration in Life Science at the Biotechnology Business Institute (BBI) - University of Barcelona starting in September 2015. Ascensión has also worked as an Independent Consultant for Pharma and Biotech Companies since 2012.

Ascensión'sprevious roles include serving as the COO & CSO at Fundación Volver a Caminar from June 2018 to March 2020, where they focused on accelerating translational medicine for spinal cord injury. Ascensión has also held the position of Senior Project Manager at Northern Biologics, where they contributed to the development of antibody therapeutics for cancer treatment from April 2016 to June 2018. Additionally, they worked as a Senior Global Project Manager at Ability Pharmaceuticals, SL, a clinical stage company focused on oral targeted anticancer compounds.

Ascensión Heredia Rodríguez has also gained experience as a Senior Project Manager at Advancell Advanced in Vitro Cell Technology from 2012 to 2014 and as an R&D Director at Bionure, a clinical stage biotechnology company focusing on neuroprotectant drugs for CNS diseases, from February 2012 to July 2013. Ascensión served as a Project Director at the Strategic Projects Unit of Biocat, BioRegion of Catalonia, from 2009 to 2011. Additionally, they worked as a Teacher in the Master of Science in Global Entrepreneurship and Management at IQS Executive Education from 2009 to 2010.
