Ruth Nyirenda

Ruth Nyirenda is an experienced professional currently serving as the Global Government Relations Manager at One Acre Fund since September 2021, after progressing from the role of Global Government Relations Associate. In this capacity, Ruth delivers strategic support for risk management, compliance, and policy advocacy across nine countries while overseeing staff development initiatives for a diverse global team of over 80 professionals. Ruth has a strong background in recruitment and program operations, having held various roles within One Acre Fund, including Global Recruitment Specialist, Malawi Recruitment Team Lead, and People and Program Analyst. Previous experience includes project leadership at Art & Global Health Center Africa and an internship at Legal Aid Malawi. Ruth holds a Master of Science in Conflict and Development from Ghent University and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Malawi, Chancellor College.
