Atma B. Mani

Atma B. Mani has worked in the software engineering field since 2007. In 2007, they began as a Software Engineer at Infosys Technologies Limited, where they developed a WebGIS based asset management system. In 2008, they worked as a Scientist at the Indian Space Research Organisation, where they automated large scale mapping projects, developed custom software tools for operational and research projects, and mentored student interns. From 2010 to 2012, they worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Northern Iowa, where they quantitatively extracted information from aerial thermal infrared images. From 2012 to 2022, they worked at Esri, first as a Product Engineer Intern, then as a Principal Engineer, Lead Product Engineer for the ArcGIS Python API, Product Engineer for LiDAR Point Cloud Visualization, and Product Engineer for ArcGIS Desktop & GIS Web Services. In 2022, they began working as a Staff Software Engineer at One Concern.

Atma B. Mani obtained their BE in GeoInformatics from the College of Engineering Guindy, Anna University between 2003 and 2007. Atma B. then went on to receive their MA in Geography from the University of Northern Iowa in 2012. In 2017, they obtained a Certified Scrum Master certification from the Scrum Alliance.
