Laura Jason

As a development professional and consultant, Laura Jason delivers fundraising solutions encompassing strategy, prospect identification, and writing. Laura has been Associate Director of Cultural Initiatives Silicon Valley, Senior Development Officer at California Academy of Sciences, Director of Corporate Relations at the San Francisco Botanical Garden Society, and consultant to Seton Medical Center, Pathways Hospice Foundation, and many more. She is the founder of the Bay Area Writers Workshop and received an Arts Administration Fellowship in Literature from the National Endowment for the Arts.

In the community, she has served on the board of Montalvo Center for the Arts, the Association of Fundraising Professionals – Golden Gate Chapter, and was a juror for the Commonwealth Club’s California Book Awards. She received a BA in English and an MFA in Creative Writing from Mills College, where she was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. She has been a Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE) for two decades.
