Awan Singh

Awan SINGH has extensive work experience in the technology and telecommunications industry. They started their career in 2001 as a Student Advisor at Manukau Institute of Technology, where they provided tutoring and support to students in various subjects.

In 2004, Awan joined TelstraClear as a Customer Help representative, handling faults related to business phones, mobiles, and data connections. They also worked as a Complex Faults Technical Specialist, diagnosing and resolving more complex issues.

In 2012, Awan moved to Vodafone and took on the role of Technical Officer - Core Transmission, where they were responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting transmission systems. They later became a Transport Design Engineer and finally a Principal Engineer.

In 2016, Awan joined Vodafone New Zealand, where they continued their position as Principal Engineer and also took on the role of Principal Architect. They held these positions until 2023.

Most recently, Awan joined One New Zealand as a Principal Architect in 2023.

Awan Singh's education history includes a Master of Engineering Studies degree in Photonics/Optical Communication from Auckland University of Technology (2009-2010), a Graduate Diploma in Engineering degree in Computer Systems Networking and Telecommunications from The University of Auckland (2008-2009), a Bachelor of Engineering Technology degree in Computer Networks from Manukau Institute of Technology (2001-2003), a Certificate in adult Teaching/Tutoring from Auckland University of Technology (2002), and a School Certificate from Shri Vivekananda College (1996-2000).
