Clare Logan has extensive work experience in the telecommunications industry. Clare began their career at BT in 1992 as a POS, Switch & Transmission Manager. After completing a two-year training program, they took on increased responsibilities, managing a team of 25 in Wales.
In 1995, Clare joined Orange PCS Limited as an Engineer in BSS Network Design, where they were responsible for the development and strategic planning of the Orange BSS Network. Clare quickly progressed to Senior Engineer and then Principal Engineer, focusing on the deployment of next-generation BTS variants and supporting license bid work.
From 1997 to 2001, Clare served as the BSS Design Manager and later as the Principal Engineer for BSS Network Design at Orange PCS Limited. In these roles, they oversaw the development, design, and strategic evolution of the BSS Network, as well as the interface with primary BSS suppliers.
In 2001, Clare became the Access Network Engineering Manager at Orange PCS Limited. Clare was responsible for evaluating and approving all 2G and 3G Nokia equipment and software for Orange SA companies. Clare also provided technical support for the Radio Access Centre of Excellence projects and Group synergy cost savings. Additionally, they served as the UTRAN Technical Manager for Orange UK, overseeing the test and approval of UTRAN hardware, software, and ancillary equipment.
In 2003, Clare joined Vodafone New Zealand as a 3G Access Specialist, responsible for capacity and strategic capability planning of the Access Network. Clare later became the Principal Engineer in Access Design, where they acted as a technical and strategic expert for the Access Network, designing and delivering leading-edge solutions across multiple network domains.
In 2018, Clare volunteered as an Instant Network Volunteer for the Vodafone Foundation. Their role focused on supporting and deploying emergency telecommunications networks in disaster-affected areas.
Most recently, Clare rejoined Vodafone New Zealand in 2021 as the Principal Development Lead for Mobile Access. In this role, they lead a team of engineers to design, develop, and implement the Mobile Access domain. Clare also provides leadership in the Mobile Access DevOps domain, ensuring continuous improvement in customer experience and network capability.
In 2023, Clare is appointed as the Principal Development Lead for RAN Technologies at One New Zealand. Further details about this role are not provided.
Clare Logan attended the University of Plymouth from 1988 to 1992, where they obtained a 1st Class Honours degree in Communication Engineering (BEng). Prior to that, Clare attended Emmbrook School, although no degree or field of study information was provided for this period.
