Philip Hewitson

Philip Hewitson has a diverse work experience spanning over 18 years. Philip currently holds the position of Transformation Principal at One New Zealand, where they lead the Procurement Operations and Excellence team within the Finance department. Philip is responsible for embedding the Source to Pay framework and improving the company's capability in people, process, and technology.

Prior to this, Philip worked at Vodafone New Zealand as the Governance and Transformation Manager, where they were accountable for commercial outcomes, performance, planning, and reporting across the IT department. Philip also served as the IT transformation lead, driving financial performance and organizational health initiatives.

Philip also has experience at Fonterra, where they held various roles including GM Operational Change and Capability, Global Assets and Technology, Performance and Integration Manager, Business Integration Manager for Social Responsibility, Project Portfolio Manager, and Commercial Analyst. Through these roles, they demonstrated their expertise in driving efficiency initiatives, project and transformational change management, and business intelligence.

Before joining Fonterra, Philip had experience at ASB Bank as a Business Analyst, where they contributed to the development and analysis of business strategies.

Additionally, Philip worked at Nomura Asset Management UK, where they served as a Performance Analyst and later as the Head of Client Reporting. In these roles, they conducted comprehensive analysis of investment performance, generated reports, and managed client relationships.

Early in their career, Philip served as an Assistant Manager in Business Banking at ANZ, where they managed and developed customer relationships and achieved recognition for outstanding customer service.

Philip Hewitson attended the University of Otago from 1998 to 2002, where they obtained a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom.) and a Bachelor of Physical Education (BPhEd). Philip also holds additional certifications in Agile Product Ownership from ICAgile (obtained in 2022) and Business Benefits Realization from LinkedIn (obtained in 2018).
