Karlene Barron

Karlene Barron has a diverse and extensive work experience in the communications field. Karlene began their career in 1990 as a Public Relations Manager for the Prime Minister of Jamaica and then moved on to become a Media Coordinator/Assistant Director for Georgia DOT from 1994 to 2006. Karlene joined the Georgia Department of Transportation in 2007 as the Deputy Director/Administrator and later served as the Director of Communications from 2009 to 2016. From 2016 to 2018, they held the role of Communications Administrator at the Georgia Department of Transportation. In 2018, they joined Moreland Altobelli / An Atlas Company as the Communications Director before transitioning to their current role as the Director of Communications at Atlas Technical Consultants in 2019. In their current position, they are responsible for implementing and leading the internal and external communications strategy for Atlas, as well as managing media relations and reputation management for the organization.

Karlene Barron obtained a Bachelor's degree in Mass Communication/Media Studies from Mansfield University of Pennsylvania in 1990. Later, in 1993, they pursued a Master's degree in Public Communications from American University.
