Gustavo Tamborlim Simoes began their professional career as a Paid Intern at Escola Politécnica da USP in 2004. In 2006, they became a Trainee at Itaú Unibanco, where they worked as a Data Analyst for Itaucard, performing the whole ETL process, as well as building dashboards and executive presentations. In 2007, they moved to Integration Consulting as a Senior PMO Analyst. In 2008, they returned to Itaú Unibanco as a Credit Risk Coordinator, leading a team of 5 data analysts, engineers and statisticians using data analysis to design rules of automatic credit lending for SMB clients. Gustavo was later promoted to Credit Risk Manager and Senior Credit Risk Manager, having a key role leading a team of 20+ data analysts, statisticians and data engineers. In 2012, they joined Content House as a Senior Managing Consultant. In 2013, they took a Sabbatical Break, during which they focused on learning programming languages, developing frameworks, agile development and, most importantly, making learning a part of their daily routine. In 2015, they became Executive Director at Novahub Tech, where they were responsible for custom projects on digital automation (web applications), big data and data visualization, machine learning and technology consulting, for medium and large corporations. In 2018, they co-founded BITSi Automação & Inteligência Artificial, where they developed a machine learning application (Natural Language Processing - NLP) to "read" and answer e-mails, SMS and web forms. In 2020, they joined OneBlinc as Chief Technology Officer (CTO), applying high-tech solutions, big data, artificial intelligence, omnichannel strategy to serve millions of people who don't have access to traditional lending. In 2022, they became Co-founder and CTO at Blinctek, where they developed technologies that make financial transformations possible, creating products and enabling services.

Gustavo Tamborlim Simoes obtained their Bachelor of Science in Mining and Mineral Engineering from Escola Politécnica da USP between 2000 and 2006. Gustavo then went on to obtain their Master of Business Administration in Strategic and Economic Business Management from FGV - Fundação Getulio Vargas between 2011 and 2013.
