Rita Tate

Rita Tate currently serves as the Manager of Platelet Manufacturing and Product Quality Control at OneBlood since February 2017. With a robust career in the blood banking and medical technology fields, Rita has held key positions at the Community Blood Center of the Carolinas, including Manager of New Processes and Technology and Director of Technical Services. Previous experience includes serving as the Director of Hospital/Technical Services at Coastal Bend Blood Center, and Director of Component Manufacturing at BloodSource, where initial responsibilities included Director of Quality Auditing and Training. Earlier career roles featured a tenure as Quality Assurance Manager at Cape Fear Valley Health Care System, overseeing quality programs for transfusion medicine and blood donor services. Rita's educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education and Teaching from the University of Pittsburgh, a Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology from Conemaugh Valley Memorial Hospital, and additional studies at PennWest California.
