As one of the first virtual insurance companies licensed by the Hong Kong Insurance Authority, we specialize in providing insurance products through online channels. We take pride in delivering innovative products and services via digital platforms. Currently, we offer pet insurance, fire insurance, critical illness insurance, and home insurance, with plans to expand our coverage options in the coming year. 

We are seeking a motivated and talented iOS developer to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment.

 

Responsibilities: 

  • You will have the opportunity to learn about the development and operational models of online insurance products, and actively participate in the creation of conceptual products, gaining valuable insights into software engineering and cross-functional collaboration. 
  • You will collaborate with product owners, designers, and engineers to develop a proof of concept (POC) iOS application for Apple devices, which will serve as an important reference for OneDegree’s future product strategies. 

Requirements 

  • Proficiency in Swift/Swift UI. 
  • Familiarity with the iOS app submission and publishing process, with at least one app launched on the App Store. 
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect iOS applications to backend services. 
  • Experience with version control systems, such as Git. 
  • Knowledge of UI/UX design principles specific to iOS platforms. 
  • Willingness to participate in the development of a Proof of Concept (POC) app for a new insurance service, and provide input for future product direction.

  • 1st interview: 2-hour meeting with Hiring team 
    • 1.5-hour Interview with the Hiring Managers
    • 15 mins Meeting with HR 
  • 2nd interview: 1-hour meet with HR Head
