Grant Baker has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies and roles. Grant started their career as an Internet Services Manager at the Dallas Convention & Visitors Bureau in 2000, where they oversaw the installation of wired and wireless services for tradeshows. In 2003, they worked as an Independent Consultant, providing technical consulting services and troubleshooting SQL database issues for several companies. Grant then joined Smart City Networks in 2004, first as an Operations Manager in Dallas and later in Las Vegas, where they managed technical operations and the installation of telecommunication services for tradeshows at convention centers. In 2014, Grant Baker became a Senior Network Engineer at O'Neil Digital Solutions.
Grant Baker attended SMU SEAS from 1998 to 2000, where they studied Networking Technologies. During their time at SMU SEAS, they did not obtain a degree. However, they did obtain several additional certifications in the field of networking. In November 1999, Grant obtained the Network+ certification from CompTIA. In August 1999, they obtained the A+ certification, also from CompTIA. Later on, in May 2008, Grant obtained the CCNA Routing & Switching certification from Cisco. In December 2008, they obtained the CWNA certification from CWNP. Lastly, in May 2011, Grant obtained the CCNA Wireless certification from Cisco.
