Eric Castro

Eric Castro is the current Partner and CTO at OneSeventeen Media. Eric has also served as the President and Treasurer of Lost Creek Municpal District and the Director of Sybilmedia. Castro has been in the IT industry for over 25 years, starting their career as the CIO of Sunset Direct in 1995. Eric oversaw all IT and Data services during their time at Sunset Direct, managing web presence and e-commerce while also growing the company's IT infrastructure from 30 to 350 employees. In 2010, they became the Director of Lost Creek Municpal District. During their time there, they oversaw the redevelopment of LC MUD website to new responsive design, integrating with city/LCRA data feeds to provide watering schedule, trash schedule, deed restrictions, and other information to residents by address. Eric also worked with City of Austin staff to implement Strategic Partnership Agreement with Lost Creek which transferred water service and facilitate annexation. After annexation, they worked to transition from a Municipal Utility District and Water Utility to the Limited District. In 2018, they joined OneSeventeen Media as their current Partner and CTO.

Eric Castro earned a BS in Mathematics from The University of Texas at Austin and a BS in Computer Science from The University of Texas at Austin.

Eric Castro reports to Beth Carls, Co-Founder & CEO. Eric Castro works with Amy Looper - Co-Founder & COO, Darci Bechen-Terry - Creative Director & Illustrator, and Pam Heller - Content & Training Director.
