Olivia Mendivil Ramos has a diverse work experience. Olivia began their career as a Postdoctoral researcher (Computational Biology) at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory in 2013. In 2016, they took on the role of Executive Director and Chair of IT at Españoles Científicos en USA (ECUSA). In 2017, they were a Team Leader at the Columbia Graduate Consulting Club, where they led a team to perform a consulting project on identifying the competitive landscape of PR space in the US and UK and product distinction for a PR firm. In 2018, they were Chief Data Scientist and Senior Data Scientist at Envel and Mentor at PGP Hackathon. In 2019, they became an Adjunct Professor at NYU School of Professional Studies. In 2021, they were Director of Operations at Climate Change AI, and in 2022 they will become a Senior Computational Biologist at OneThree Biotech.
Olivia Mendivil Ramos has a diverse educational background. Olivia earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Evolutionary Biology from the University of St Andrews between 2009 and 2013. Prior to that, they obtained an MRes in Bioinformatics from the University of Glasgow in 2008. Olivia also holds a BSc in General Biology from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, which they obtained between 2002 and 2007. Additionally, they have obtained various certifications, including AI for Medical Diagnosis from Coursera in 2020, Data Science and Big Data Analytics: Making Data-Driven Decisions from MITxPro in 2017, Neural Networks and Deep Learning from Coursera in 2017, BAMM.101x: Analytics in Python from edX in 2017, Google Cloud Platform Big Data and Machine Learning Fundamentals from Coursera in 2017, and Serverless Machine Learning with Tensorflow on Google Cloud Platform from Coursera.
