Jay Thomas

Jay Thomas is an experienced marketing professional currently serving as the Vice President of Marketing and Social Media at OneUnited Bank, the largest Black-owned bank in the nation, since May 2024. Previously, Jay held the position of Director of Digital Advertising and Social Media at Best Buddies International from June 2022 to May 2024, where notable achievements included developing a comprehensive digital marketing strategy and a successful organic social media campaign that boosted sales significantly. From September 2013 to October 2022, Jay was the Founder, CEO, and Lead Digital Strategist at Mako7 Digital Media, focusing on policies and practices for enterprise market expansion. Jay's career also includes serving as Digital Marketing Manager at ZGS Digital Communications/Telemundo, where revenue increased exponentially, and co-founding Torch The Books Media Group, overseeing brand and marketing development. Jay holds a degree from the University of Miami, earned between 1999 and 2003.
