Jim Sullivan is the current General Counsel at oneZero. Jim has held this position since January 2001. Prior to that, they were the Associate General Counsel at Refinitiv | Thomson Reuters | FX Alliance Inc. from January 2001 to December 2021. In this role, they advised FX Alliance Inc., the global electronic foreign exchange platform founded by international banking institutions, from its formation through its acquisition by Thomson Reuters in a public tender offer in August 2012. Jim was responsible for all aspects of the legal affairs of FX Alliance Inc., including advising on day-to-day business matters and operations, international regulatory matters, employment law, corporate governance, regulatory and compliance issues, new product and service offerings, software licenses and patent and trademark advice. Jim also developed agreements for all product/service offerings and negotiated agreements with 1,300 customers and liquidity providers.

Post-acquisition, Sullivan continued to advise the FX execution portal as internal counsel, and expanded their legal oversight to the Thomson Reuters FX and Fixed Income transactions business. Jim's additional duties included advising and negotiating agreements for Thomson Reuters product/service offerings; resolving client disputes; and overseeing corporate responses to governmental and civil document hold requirements and subpoenas.

Jim Sullivan has a J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law and a Bachelor of Science in Physics from City University of New York-Brooklyn College.
