Abdallah Yafi

Abdallah Yafi has extensive work experience in the venture capital and startup industry. In 2011, they co-founded Y Ventures Holding and served as a Co-Founder. Abdallah went on to join BY Venture Partners in 2015 as a Founder - General Partner, where they focused on investing in visionary and high-impact founders. Abdallah also played a role in supporting MENA startups in expanding globally and aiding international companies to enter the MENA region.

Throughout their career, Abdallah has held various board positions. Abdallah served as a Board Member for Zbooni since 2018 and a Board Observer for Huspy, DHARMA, and iKcon. Abdallah was also a Board Observer for Affectiva from 2017 to 2021. Additionally, Abdallah served as a Board Member for MYKI until 2022.

Abdallah Yafi's involvement in the venture capital industry extends to portfolio companies such as Thrive Market and Onfido. These experiences have given him a comprehensive understanding of the startup ecosystem and the ability to contribute to the growth and success of emerging companies.

Abdallah Yafi completed their Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering at McGill University from 1996 to 2000. Following this, they pursued a Masters degree in Industrial Engineering at Polytechnique Montréal from 2001 to 2003. Later, in 2008 and 2009, Abdallah attended INSEAD, where they obtained their MBA degree.
