Alan McAlpine

Alan McAlpine has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Alan started their career in 2009 as a Marketing Intern at CFA, where they were responsible for rebranding Apple's iPod. Alan then served as a JCR Public Relations Representative at the University of Bristol; Durdham Hall, where they organized and marketed events for the residents.

In 2013, Alan became a Blog contributor for Inter:Mission, where they wrote blog entries and music/film reviews. Alan also worked as a Letters; Cartoonist for Epigram during the same period.

In 2014, Alan took on the role of a Promotions Assistant at the University of Bristol Students' Union, where they assisted in promoting various activities. Alan also worked as a Cotham House Philosophy Librarian at the University of Bristol Philosophy Department.

Alan entered the fintech industry in 2015, joining Curve as a Marketing and PR Intern. Alan later became a Marketing and Community Champion, managing marketing campaigns across multiple channels. Alan also served as a Product Marketing Manager, driving user insights and creating effective communications for the company.

In 2018, Alan joined TokenCard as a Product Marketing Manager, contributing to the design and development of user-focused financial services powered by blockchain technology.

Currently, Alan works at Onfido, where they have held various roles since 2019. Alan started as a Product Marketing Manager, helping companies securely onboard customers using AI-based technology. Alan then became a Senior Product Marketing Manager and currently holds the position of Director of Product Marketing.

Alan McAlpine completed their education with a Bachelor's Degree in Philosophy from the University of Bristol between 2012 and 2015. Prior to that, they attended Dartford Grammar School from 2010 to 2012, where they pursued an International Baccalaureate. Their earlier education took place at Gravesend Grammar School from 2005 to 2010, where they focused on achieving General Certificate of Secondary Education (GCSE) qualifications.
