Chris Cortes

Chris Cortes has a diverse work experience, starting with their most recent role as a Co-Chair for the Identity Verification and Binding Working Group at FIDO Alliance. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Product Manager at Onfido, where they played a key role in digitally verifying users' identities using AI technology.

Before joining Onfido, Chris worked at Improbable as a Product Manager, where they led teams in customer problem discovery, market analysis, and solution alignment. Chris also played a role in optimizing game development workflows and overseeing major releases of the SpatialOS Game Development Platform.

Prior to their time at Improbable, Chris worked at Microsoft for several years in various roles. Chris started as a Program Manager Intern, designing and prototyping developer solutions for debugging Windows Phone applications. Chris then moved on to become a Program Manager, where they contributed to the development of the Windows Development Platform, Windows Fundamentals, Reliability and Performance, and Windows Phone, Device Health and Telemetry Systems.

In 2009, Chris gained internship experience at Microsoft as an Explorer Intern, working on a project focused on improving the state of the rich mobile web in the Browser division of Windows Mobile.

Overall, Chris Cortes has a strong background in product management, with expertise in identity verification, game development, and Windows platform development.

Chris Cortes completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Southern California from 2007 to 2011. Following this, from 2017 to 2022, they pursued a Master's degree in Computer Science at the Georgia Institute of Technology.
