Andrew Despres has a diverse work experience spanning over 15 years. Andrew has worked in various roles across different industries such as theatre, education, retail, and technology.

Despres started their career as a Historical Interpreter at Fort Edmonton Park in May 2006 and worked there until October 2011. Andrew then worked as a Geek Squad technician at Best Buy Canada from October 2007 to May 2010 and as a Resident Technician at Staples Canada from October 2011 to September 2012.

In 2012, they began working as an IT Technician Google Apps Admin at STAR Catholic School Division, where they were responsible for deploying and maintaining computer systems across 12 central Alberta sites. In October 2020, they were promoted to IT Technician Google Workspace and Hardware Specialist and continued in this position until August 2022.

Despres also worked at Microsoft as a Product Advisor, helping customers find proper solutions for their computing needs and training them on Windows devices. Andrew worked at Microsoft from September 2013 to June 2014.

In 2014, they joined Cathexis Theatre as an Actor/Producer/Google Workspace Administrator and worked on many original musicals. Andrew used their skills in memorizing, understanding, and developing character(s), text and blocking, while performing various tasks.

Currently, Despres works as a Sr. Support Engineer Onix Networking for Onix since August 2022.

Andrew Despres received their diploma in Theatre Arts from MacEwan University between 2005 and 2007. Andrew has also completed several additional certifications, including the CompTIA A+ Certification in November 2010, the Professional Google Workspace Administrator certification from Google Cloud in November 2022, the LumApps Certified Administrator certification in November 2022, the Google IT Support Certificate from Coursera in January 2023, and the Google Cloud Fundamentals: Core Infrastructure certification from Google Cloud Skills Boost for Partners in April 2023.
