Michael Sliwka

Michael Sliwka has over ten years of work experience in the geospatial field. Michael began their career as a Geospatial Analyst at DAI in 2010. In 2012, they worked as a Geospatial Consultant at CNFA, where they instructed Technical Advisors on data-collection methods and Monitoring & Evaluation officers in ArcGIS Desktop.

In 2013, Sliwka joined ESRI for a short period of time as part of their Solutions Services team before moving onto Onix Networking Corp. where they worked for several years in a variety of roles. Michael started as a Senior Technical Account Manager focusing on location services and eventually transitioned into a Geospatial Engineer role. At Onix, Sliwka specialized in Google Cloud Solutions such as Workload Migrations, Data & Analytics, Data Infrastructure and Visualization, Infrastructure Services, Collaboration & Productivity, and Location-based Services. Michael was a 12-time 'Google Partner of the Year' award winner at Onix and a Google Cloud Managed Services Partner. Their work experience at Onix came to an end in 2019.

Michael Sliwka attended Riverview High School, but the start and end years are not provided. From 2010 to 2012, they studied Geospatial Information Systems under the field of Geography at the University of Maryland. In terms of additional certifications, they obtained several Google Cloud Platform certifications in 2017, including Computing, Storage and Security, Configuration Management, Designing Highly Scalable Web Apps, and Google Cloud Platform for Systems Operations Professionals. Michael also earned a Google Cloud Platform Fundamentals certificate in January 2017. In December 2016, they became a Google Cloud Platform Sales Representative. Most recently, they earned a Cloud Digital Leader certification from Google Cloud in February 2023. Additionally, they completed Etiquette & Productivity and Slack Basics courses from Slack in November 2021.
