Lawrence C. Ragan

Lawrence C. Ragan is the Chief Executive Officer of Ragan Education LLC, providing educational services for professional development programs in higher education since July 2018. In addition to this role, Ragan serves as a facilitator for a National Science Foundation project at Arizona State University, exploring materials in STEM education. Ragan is also the Program Director at St. Rita's Professional Development Academy, focusing on teacher development for special needs education. As a faculty member in the Diplomado de Formación de Líderes en Educación a Distancia and a co-facilitator with MarylandOnline, Ragan contributes to curriculum design and leadership training. Ragan holds the title of Faculty Fellow at the Online Learning Consortium and co-directs the Institute for Emerging Leadership in Online Learning. Previous experience includes positions at Penn State University, where Ragan established relationships in EdTech, directed the Center for Online Innovation in Learning, and oversaw instructional design for distance education courses. Ragan earned a PhD in Instructional Systems and two degrees in Agricultural and Extension Education Services from Penn State University.
