Olivia Capriotti

Olivia Capriotti is a dedicated and versatile professional currently serving as a Data Program Intern at Dow Jones News Fund. Involved in various roles at the University of Massachusetts Amherst since September 2021, Olivia has contributed as a UMass Women into Leadership Fellow, Residential Peer Mentor, Sustainability Fellow, and Editorial Assistant. Olivia also serves as an Assistant News Editor and Staff Writer for The Massachusetts Daily Collegian and is a Public Policy Research Intern at the Rhode Island Food Policy Council, where analysis of legislative summaries and food system metrics occurs. Additionally, Olivia participates in the Online News Association's Student Newsroom, focusing on data visualizations and science journalism, and has held positions as a Research Assistant in public health and a Teaching Assistant in education. With a strong educational background in Journalism and Spanish from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, Olivia brings experience in research, policy analysis, and leadership development to the field of journalism and public policy.
