Chet Askey

Chet Askey has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. In 1990, they worked as a Production Supervisor at Harris Semiconductor Inc. From 1994 to 1996, they served as a Technology Modernization Specialist at the Louisiana Department of Economic Development, where they conducted research and implemented surveys related to industrial extension and state manufacturing industry needs. From 1996 to 2007, they worked as a Manufacturing System Engineer II at Smiths Aerospace, where they edited and improved manufacturing work instructions, developed programs for avionics and electronics manufacturing equipment, and performed ERP and MRP data analysis tasks. Chet Askey completed their Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from the University of South Florida. Chet then went on to pursue a Master of Science degree in Public Policy, with a concentration in Science, Technology & Modernization from the Georgia Institute of Technology, which they completed in 1993.

In addition to their formal education, Chet Askey also obtained certifications in Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification from Smiths Aerospace and Root Cause Analysis from Apollonian Publications, LLC.
