Alan McFarland

Alan McFarland is an experienced professional with a strong background in electronic design and innovative retail solutions. Currently serving as the Director of Electronic Innovations at OnQ Solutions since April 2021, Alan collaborates with the creative team to develop engaging retail experiences, while evaluating leading technologies and creating custom hardware. Alan's extensive career includes roles such as Electronic Design Engineer for Visual Effects at Applied Magic FX and Director of Electronic Solutions at LG&P In-Store Agency, where Alan founded the Electronic Solutions Team. Previous positions encompass Research and Development Supervisor and Lead Electronics Specialist at Lynx Innovation Inc., and Chief Technology Officer at Nila Inc. Alan holds a BFA in Film/Video Production from The University of Texas at Arlington, along with education in Cinematography from The American Film Institute and training at Gnomon.
