JOB SUMMARY:

The Business Development Representative (BDR) plays a pivotal role in the B2B software sales process, serving as the first point of contact in a large, in-depth sales cycle. This essential position is responsible for engaging with key decision makers over the phone and through digital channels, qualify prospects, and collaborate with the sales team to close opportunities. This person must demonstrate a deep understanding of clients’ needs and effectively position Onsharp’s products and services to meet those needs. This role partners closely with both the Business Development team to ensure timely delivery of results, adherence to budget goals, and the execution of B2B sales strategies with a high degree of quality and stakeholder satisfaction.

 ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Lead Generation and Qualification:
    • Demonstrate a "hunter" sales mentality by actively seeking new business opportunities.
    • Develop and qualify leads through prospecting, networking, and other lead generation activities.
    • Learn about prospects' businesses and identify where Onsharp's products and services can make a significant impact.
    • Utilize creative sales approaches to uncover new opportunities.
  • Sales Strategy
    • Develop and implement effective B2B sales strategies to meet and exceed individual productivity and sales goals.
    • Create opportunities for the outside sales team by identifying potential clients and setting up meetings.
    • Work closely with the Business Development team to ensure client satisfaction, opportunity follow-up, and winning deals.
  • Client Relationship Building
    • Achieves and maintains rapport with client and works to provide the best possible service experience
    • Ensure timely response to sales opportunities, participate in meetings, and collaborate with the Business Development team to close deals and ensure client satisfaction.
  • CRM Management
    • Maintain and update client and lead information to facilitate effective follow-up and sales strategy development.
    • Track and report on sales activities, opportunities, and results.
  • Networking
    • Actively participate in networking activities to build and expand the client base.

    • Represent Onsharp at industry events, conferences, and other networking opportunities.

    • Spot new opportunities and bring them to the attention of the Business Development team.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Communications or related discipline preferred.

  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in a professional inside sales environment.

  • Strong verbal/written communication skills with ability to communicate effectively in a polished, professional, and friendly manner.

  • Skill in organizing and managing time across multiple tasks.

  • Skill in understanding customer needs and providing quality customer service.

  • Technology/Solution selling experience preferred.
