Mike Rockwal has extensive work experience in the field of finance. Mike started their career at Retail Brand Alliance, where they worked as a Staff Accountant and was involved in analyzing and interpreting financial data. Mike then moved on to Spalding, where they served as a Senior Accountant and later as a Finance Manager, focusing on financial planning and strategic objectives.
In 1998, Mike worked as an Assistant Controller at JavaNet, Inc (RCN), where they played a key role in the due diligence audit during the company's acquisition by RCN Corporation. Mike also implemented a Fixed Asset system, saving the company significant costs.
Mike then returned to Spalding as a Corporate Accounting Manager, responsible for monthly business reviews and overseeing the implementation of the Hyperion General Ledger.
Mike joined Valassis in 1999 as a Manager in Financial Reporting, where they were responsible for financial forecasting and analysis. Over the years, they took on additional roles and eventually became the Finance Director, supporting multiple cross-functional sales teams and creating a methodology to measure client profitability. Mike also directed the creation of a web-based revenue forecast system, optimizing the forecasting process.
In 2009, Mike joined Onsite Women's Health as the Chief Financial Officer, overseeing all aspects of corporate finance, including financial reporting and analysis, budgeting, and contract negotiations. Mike achieved significant cost reductions for the company through strategic vendor and bank relationship management.
Mike Rockwal obtained their Bachelor of Science in Business Management with a major in Accounting from Westfield State University, where they studied from 1986 to 1990. Mike further pursued higher education at Western New England University and completed their Master of Business Administration degree with a specialization in Finance, attending from 1992 to 1995.
