Kevin Zakel

Kevin Zakel has a strong background in site reliability engineering. Kevin worked as a Senior Site Reliability Engineer at Ontada from 2019, where they deployed the Dynatrace Observability Platform for Kubernetes cluster monitoring and centralized logging.

Prior to that, they worked at BrightEdge in 2019 as a Senior Site Reliability Engineer.

From 2015 to 2019, Kevin worked at IBM as a Senior Site Reliability Engineer. During this time, they managed and monitored core infrastructure services for the Watson Health Cleveland data platform, developed a custom automated server provisioning framework, and operated an on-premises OpenStack cluster.

Before IBM, Kevin worked at Explorys, an IBM Company, from 2012 to 2015 as an Infrastructure Engineer. In this role, they managed server infrastructure and platform-level services for SaaS offerings, provisioned servers, wrote Puppet configuration management code, and managed KVM virtualization infrastructure.

Kevin Zakel obtained a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Ohio University. In December 2014, they also obtained a certification as a Red Hat Certified System Administrator from Red Hat.
