Yang Yu, Ph.D.

Yang Yu, Ph.D. has a diverse range of work experience in various roles and industries. From 2007 to 2008, Yang interned in marketing and finance positions at Hantec Wealth Management Advisor Ltd. and Dräger Medical AG & Co. KGaA. Afterward, from 2011 to 2014, Yang worked as a Research Assistant at Lehigh University, where they conducted data analysis using SAS and STATA for large-scale data sets.

In 2014, Yang had an internship at KMK Consulting Inc., where they programmed SAS and analyzed data to produce summary tables for multiple clients. Yang then joined Axtria-Ingenious Insights as a Senior Associate from 2015 to 2017, working on projects involving market analysis and sales solutions for pharmaceutical companies.

From 2017 to 2018, Yang worked at Memorial Hermann Health System as a Project Manager, developing projects and analyzing medical benefit claims data to optimize the prior authorization process. In 2018, Yang transitioned to Aetna, a CVS Health Company, as a Senior Data Scientist, contributing their expertise until 2022.

Currently, Yang holds the position of Senior Data Scientist at Ontada since December 2022.

Yang Yu, Ph.D. has a strong educational background in the field of Economics and Health Economics. Yang obtained their Bachelor's Degree in Economics from Renmin University of China in 2009. Yang then went on to pursue a Master's Degree in Economics at Lehigh University from 2009 to 2011. Yang continued their studies at Lehigh University and earned their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Health Economics from 2011 to 2015.

In addition to their academic achievements, Yang also holds certifications in SAS programming. Yang became a SAS Certified Base Programmer for SAS 9 in November 2014 and obtained the SAS Certified Advanced Programmer for SAS 9 certification in July 2015.
