Sumith A. Kularatne

Sumith A. Kularatne is currently the Executive Vice President of Research & Development at On Target Laboratories. Sumith has over 10 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, with a focus on drug design and development. Prior to their current position, they served as the Vice President of Research & Development at On Target Laboratories from March 2012 to January 2017. In this role, they oversaw the R&D division, conducting bench work and designing in vitro and in vivo experiments. Sumith also wrote grants and project proposals, IND and FDA reports, patents, and manuscripts. In addition, they oversaw the Intellectual Property division, managing the patent portfolio and trade secrets. Sumith was also a member of the upper management team, responsible for fundraising, marketing, budgeting, hiring, and conflict resolution. Prior to joining On Target Laboratories, Dr. Kularatne was a Postdoctoral Fellow in the lab of Peter G. Schultz at The Scripps Research Institute from December 2009 to February 2012.

Sumith A. Kularatne reports to Christopher R. Barys, Chief Executive Officer. Sumith A. Kularatne works with Pravin Gagare - Director, Chemistry, Aaron Blouin - Director, Clinical Operations, and Tim Biro - Chief Operating Officer.
