Jordan Antflick

Director, Integrated Discovery at Ontario Brain Institute

Jordan Antflick is the Director of Integrated Discovery at the Ontario Brain Institute. Jordan received their PhD from the Leslie Dan Faculty of Pharmacy at the University of Toronto in 2012. Their focus was on understanding the consequences of endogenous activation of the Group III metabotropic glutamate receptors in the central nervous system. Jordan employed animal models, immunohistochemistry and functional assays in combination with several other biochemical techniques to identify an endogenous molecule capable of activating the Group III metabotropic glutamate receptors at a significantly higher affinity than the putative ligand, glutamate. From 2005 to 2011, they were a Teaching Assistant at the University of Toronto.

Jordan Antflick completed an Honors Bachelor of Science (Hon.B.Sc.) in Pharmacology at the University of Alberta. Jordan is currently completing a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of Toronto, through a Collaborative Program in Neuroscience.

Jordan Antflick reports to Tom Mikkelsen, President & Scientific Director. They work with Kirk Nylen - Deputy Scientific Director & VP, Integrated Discovery & Informatics, Heather Chalmers - Board Member, and John Clarkson - SVP, COO.
