Abdelsalam Elshourbagy, CMA®, has a diverse work experience spanning several reputable companies. Abdelsalam began their career with KPMG as a Senior Auditor, where they provided financial analysis services and evaluated clients' businesses. Abdelsalam conducted tests of controls and identified weaknesses in accounting and internal control systems, offering recommendations for improvement. After their time at KPMG, Abdelsalam worked at Starcom Mediavest Group MENA as a Chief Accountant. In this role, they ensured compliance with company SOPs, supervised daily reconciliations and cash reports, and verified system ERP reports. Abdelsalam then joined Re:Sources as a Chief Accountant, where they maintained effective internal controls and managed the daily financial operations in accordance with group policies and procedures. Abdelsalam also handled HQ office expenses and ensured proper recording and classification. Abdelsalam later joined GE as a Statutory to Tax Specialist, where they managed statutory process standards and financial compliance for multiple countries. Abdelsalam prioritized driving organizational transformation, process improvement, and automation for long-term growth. Additionally, they reviewed procedures with local statutory process leaders to ensure accurate application of Local and US GAAP. Prior to their current role, Abdelsalam worked at Lion Re:Sources as a Chief Accountant, managing accounting transactions for Group Companies and reporting to the Group CFO. Abdelsalam revised and approved daily transactions, including accounts receivable and payable, and oversaw ledgers closing and group bank reconciliations. Currently, they hold the position of Accounting Manager at Ontario Green Savings™, where they manage and oversees the daily operations of the accounting department. Abdelsalam is responsible for tasks such as financial reporting, monitoring and analyzing accounting data, and producing financial reports and statements.

Abdelsalam Elshourbagy, CMA®, obtained a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) degree in Accounting from Cairo University in 2000. Prior to that, they completed their high school education at El-Horreya Language School from 1983 to 1996. Additionally, Abdelsalam has obtained several certifications, including the Certified Management Accountant (CMA) from IMA | Institute of Management Accountants in January 2023. Abdelsalam also holds certifications in Budgeting and Forecasting, Advanced Excel Formulas & Functions, Fundamentals of Data Analysis in Excel, and Reading Financial Statements from various institutions. Lastly, in May 2020, they earned the ima data analytics & visualization fundamentals certificate from IMA | Institute of Management Accountants.
