Haneesha Mohan

Junior Investigator at Ontario HIV Treatment Network

Haneesha Mohan, Ph.D., serves as a Scientific Research Associate and Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University Health Network since September 2018, focusing on the evaluation of neural tube defects and metabolic impacts related to antiretroviral drug use during pregnancy. Mohan has contributed to various prestigious fellowships, including a CIHR PostDoctoral Fellowship, emphasizing the risks of antiretroviral exposure and its effects on maternal and fetal health. Currently a Junior Investigator at the Ontario HIV Treatment Network, Mohan explores the implications of antiretrovirals on body weight in individuals living with HIV. The academic journey includes a Ph.D. in Integrative Neuroendocrinology from the University of Saskatchewan and additional advanced training in clinical research from Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, alongside extensive teaching and research experience at multiple esteemed institutions.
