David Smil (PhD, CRM)

David Smil holds a PhD in Organic Chemistry and has extensive experience in the pharmaceutical and research sectors. Currently serving as Principal Research Scientist and Team Lead in Chemistry at M4K Pharma since June 2023, David previously worked as a Principal and Senior Research Scientist at the Ontario Institute for Cancer Research. David's prior roles include Senior Research Scientist at M4K Pharma and The Structural Genomics Consortium, as well as positions at MethylGene Inc. and the University of Ottawa Centre for Research in Biopharmaceuticals. In addition to a solid foundation in organic chemistry, David has furthered their expertise with multiple certificates in business analysis, risk management, and project management from the University of Toronto, among other educational pursuits.
