Erfa Alani

Erfa Alani is the current Chief of Staff & Corporate Affairs Director at the Ontario Investment Office. Erfa has held various positions at the Ministry of Economic Development, Job Creation and Trade, including Executive Lead, Agency Establishment, Special Advisor, and Senior Advisor. In their role as Senior Advisor, they represented the Province at the CUSMA (NAFTA) negotiations, appeared before the House Ways and Means Committee, and delivered the first submission to a U.S. national security or global safeguard investigation by the Province of Ontario.

Prior to their work at the Ministry of Economic Development, Job Creation and Trade, Alani worked as a Program & Liaison Officer, Deputy Head of Mission, and Collaboration Leader at Aga Khan Development Network, and as Director, Operational & Corporate Policy, Stakeholder Outreach, and Program Management at Ontario Public Service.

Alani began their career as a Principal Consultant at IBM in 2005. In this role, they were responsible for change management, program evaluation, and leading transformative projects.
