James Taylor

Communications Lead at Ontario Medical Association

James Taylor has extensive work experience in various industries and roles. James began their career as an ESL Teacher at Colegio Algarrobos in 1999. James then worked at Scaramouche Restaurant as a host and in other service positions from 2000 to 2002. From 2002 to 2011, James worked at Northmount School as a Teacher, teaching multiple subjects and focusing on Performance Arts in later years. James also served as the Technology Manager during this time. In 2011, James joined PwC Canada as a Voice and Video Services Analyst and later became an IT Facilities Project Manager. James worked at St. Michael's Hospital as a Process Analyst from 2016 to 2019, and also served as a Procurement Database Coordinator for a brief period within the same organization. From 2017 to 2019, James worked at Unity Health Toronto as a Project Manager, responsible for business analysis, departmental technical development and support, continuous improvement, and project work. Currently, they hold the position of Communications Lead at the Ontario Medical Association, starting in 2019.

James Taylor attended the University of Toronto - University of St. Michael's College from 1997 to 2002, where they earned a BA degree in Christianity and Culture, with a focus on Spanish and French. Prior to that, they attended St. Michael's Choir School from 1987 to 1997. Additionally, they obtained certifications in Information Security and ISO 27001 Training from PwC in 2014, as well as an ITIL v3 Foundations certification from Global Knowledge Training in 2013. James also completed a course in Sharepoint Admin at Global Knowledge.
