Rena Menaker

Executive Director, Physician Leader Engagement at Ontario Medical Association

Rena Menaker has a diverse work experience in the healthcare industry. Rena began their career as a Research Associate at The Hospital for Sick Children in 2003 and later worked as a Health Policy Analyst at The Fraser Institute. Rena then moved on to The Hospital for Sick Children again, this time as a Senior Business Manager. In 2010, Rena joined Bell as an Associate Director and Senior Implementation Consultant, focusing on privacy. Rena then transitioned to North York General Hospital as an Administrative Resident before joining the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care as a Senior Project Manager and later as a Manager in the Home and Community Care Branch. In 2016, they became the Director of Policy and Member Relations at the Council of Academic Hospitals of Ontario (CAHO). Currently, Rena is the Senior Director for Change Management and Implementation at the Ontario Medical Association, and they will soon be assuming the role of Executive Director for Physician Leader Engagement.

Rena Menaker completed an Executive Business Program at the Ivey Business School at Western University in 2016. Earlier, they earned a Master of Health Administration (MHSc) degree from the University of Toronto between 2011 and 2013. Prior to that, they obtained a Master of Science (MSc) degree from the University of Toronto from 2001 to 2003. Rena started their academic journey with a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree from McGill University, which they completed from 1997 to 2001. In terms of professional certifications, they achieved the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute in 2010.
