Ryan McAfee currently serves as the Director of Compliance and Legislative Affairs for Ontario One Call, a position held since January 2023. Prior to this role, Ryan McAfee was the Director of Compliance and Industry Performance at the same organization and worked as the Manager of Compliance and Enforcement at the Resource Productivity and Recovery Authority from May 2021 to January 2023. Additional experience includes serving as a Board Member for the Regulatory Compliance & Enforcement Council, Manager of Inspections at the Retirement Homes Regulatory Authority, and various positions at the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario from 2012 to 2017. Ryan McAfee also worked as a Compliance Inspector for the Ministry of Community Safety and Correctional Services and as a Fuel and Tobacco Tax Inspector for the Ontario Ministry of Finance. Academic qualifications include a Master of Science in Criminal Justice Administration from Niagara University, a Strategic Intelligence Analysis Course from the Canadian Police College, a Bachelor of Applied Arts in Justice Studies from the University of Guelph-Humber, and a Diploma in Police Foundations from Seneca Polytechnic.

Ontario One Call is a not-for-profit organization that facilitates excavation locate requests to ensure homeowners, excavators and infrastructure owners are safe when digging. Ontario One Call notifies infrastructure owners of excavation requests. These members then deliver locates, minimizing the risk of infrastructure damage, loss of utilities, injury, and monetary consequences. Our Mission We protect Ontario Communities from the loss of service and harm caused by damages to underground infrastructure by educating the public on the need to Call Before You Dig. We provide a locate request process that is reliable, timely and easy to use.
