Livia Lau

Livia Lau is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in operations and business management, currently serving as Managing Director of Operations at Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan since April 2010. In this role, Livia leads enterprise project portfolio management, overseeing governance of strategic projects and collaborating with finance to align project funding with enterprise goals. Previous positions at Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan include Director of Business Planning and Director of Member Services Operations, where Livia achieved significant results in pension payroll accuracy and operational performance. Prior to this, Livia held roles at Direct Energy and Celestica, gaining expertise in process engineering, risk management, and quality assurance. Livia holds multiple degrees from the University of Toronto, including a Master of Engineering in Mechanical and Industrial Engineering, and has furthered professional development through risk management and leadership programs at Schulich School of Business and Ivey Business School.
