Sucharita Mishra

Sucharita Mishra has extensive work experience in the financial industry. Sucharita started their career at Sun Life Financial in 1997, working as an Investment Analyst and Economic Research Analyst in the Corporate Investments Department until 1999. Sucharita then joined Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan in 1999 and held various roles including Senior Portfolio Administrator, Portfolio Administrator, Manager, Senior Financial Analyst, and Financial Analyst in the Bond and Repo Markets. Mishra also worked as a Director, Sr. Principal, Principal, Associate, and Analyst in the Investments Department, where they excelled in the search, due diligence, and selection of external managers, as well as overall management and monitoring of a multi-billion dollar equities program. Sucharita was also a business lead on a straight-through processing project and trained and supervised new staff.

Sucharita Mishra has a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from United States International University - Africa, which they obtained from 1992 to 1994. Sucharita then pursued a BA (Hons.) in Economics from York University from 1994 to 1996. In 1997, Sucharita obtained a CSC certificate from the Canadian Securities Institute, focusing on Canadian Securities - Stocks and bonds. Sucharita went on to achieve a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation from the CFA Institute, specializing in Investments and Securities, in 2001. In 2013, they obtained a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) Designation from the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) Institute, focusing on Alternative Investments such as Hedge Funds, Private Equity, Real Estate, Infrastructure, and Timber. Sucharita also completed the Investment Foundations Program Certificate from the CFA Institute in 2022 and is currently pursuing a CIPM Designation from the same institute, expected to complete in 2024.
