Lead Avionics Engineer at Ontario Tech Space and Rocketry

Sam Abraham Assareymuriyil is an emerging engineering professional currently serving as an Equipment Engineering Intern at Honda of Canada Mfg. since May 2024. Prior to this role, Sam has held key positions such as Lead Avionics Engineer at Ontario Tech Space and Rocketry, where responsibilities included designing and building avionics components for team rockets, and a Hardware and Electronics Team Member at Ontario Tech Racing. Sam also contributed as a Durham Community Energy Plan Summer Innovation Fellow with the Durham Region, working on an evaluation plan focused on reducing greenhouse gas emissions. Additional experience includes mechanical technician work at Canada's Wonderland, back-end development for Speak Fluent Speech Services, and designing end-effectors at 2unify. As a co-founder and president of the North Park Hack Club, Sam is actively engaged in nurturing technical and leadership skills. Sam is pursuing a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechatronics, Robotics, and Automation Engineering at Ontario Tech University.
