Patricia Santamaría Prado

Head of R&D projects at Ontech Security

Patricia Santamaría Prado has a wealth of experience in research and development. Patricia began their career in 2003 as a PhD student at Infineon Technologies, where they were responsible for characterizing organic semiconductors and developing production processes for homogeneous conducting thin films. In the same year, they became a researcher at the Friedrich-Alexander-University of Erlangen-Nürnberg, where they were responsible for advanced physical chemistry laboratories. In 2007, they took on the role of Research and Development Manager at SCHOTT, where they were responsible for project management, product development, and production processes improvement. Patricia also became a Researcher at the Universidad de Sevilla in the same year. In 2016, they moved to RIOGLASS SOLAR as Research and Development Manager, where they were responsible for product development and product validation. Most recently, in 2022, they became Head of R&D projects at Ontech Security, where they are responsible for coordinating all R&D projects cycle activities related to the Controlled Electromagnetic Field (CEMF) sensor technology, from specification and architecture through to implementation, validation and final commissioning from the R&D organizations.

Patricia Santamaría Prado obtained their PhD in Chemistry from FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg in 2006, specializing in Physical Chemistry. Prior to that, they obtained a Licentiate degree in Chemistry from Universidad de Sevilla in 2002.
