Alex S.

Alex S. has a diverse work experience in the mechanical engineering field. They started at CRB as an E-commerce Website Developer from 2008 to 2012. They then moved on to Rudolph Technologies where they worked as an Electro-Mechanical Assembler, Technician, and later as a Mechanical Designer and Electro-Mechanical Engineering Technician. During their time at Rudolph Technologies, they were involved in the design, analysis, testing, and evaluation of semiconductor material handling systems and components. They also managed projects with decentralized companies and estimated project costs and delivery time frames.

Alex S. then joined Hyperloop Transportation Technologies Inc as a Mechanical Design Engineer, working on the design and development of the Hyperloop Transportation System. They specialized in mechanical design for the low vacuum environment and normal atmosphere.

Currently, Alex S. holds the position of Sr. Mechanical Designer at Onto Innovation, where they design tooling, fixtures, and equipment for opto-mechanical, automation, inspection, and related components. They also improve and modify complex mechanical assemblies using 3D CAD software. Additionally, they handle manufacturing escalations and ensure timely delivery of systems to external customers.

Alex S. began their education in 1999 at MRMC in Russia, where they pursued a 4-year degree in Engineering and Architecture of Commercial and Resident Buildings. Alex completed their studies in 2006. In 2009, Alex S. enrolled at Inver Hills Community College and obtained an A.S. degree in Computer Science in 2014, concluding their formal education.
