Tom Bentz

Tom Bentz has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Tom is currently working at Onto Innovation as a Senior Director of Sales Operations since March 2023. Prior to this, they held the position of Director Sales Operation at Onto Innovation from November 2019 to March 2023.

Before joining Onto Innovation, Tom worked at Rudolph Technologies for a significant period. Tom served as the Director of Business Management from May 2018 to November 2019, where they coordinated manufacturing plans, accurately forecasted inventory, and aligned customer product needs with company strategy. Prior to this, they held the position of Technical Account Manager at Rudolph Technologies from October 2004 to May 2018, where they acted as a liaison between various departments and responded to customer specifications, resulting in substantial equipment sales.

Tom also has experience working at Rudolph Technologies (Formerly August Technology). Tom served as a Field Service and Applications/Tech Support/Trainer from January 2002 to October 2004, where they addressed customer issues, installed equipment, and conducted training sessions. Tom also worked as a Field Service and Application Engineer from July 2001 to December 2001, living in Europe to drive equipment adoption and generating significant sales. Prior to these roles, Tom was a Field Service Engineer at Rudolph Technologies from November 1999 to July 2001.

Before joining Rudolph Technologies, Tom worked at Air Products as a Megasys Lead Technician from January 1996 to October 1999. In this role, they managed on-time delivery of semiconductor gas supply and coordinated equipment installations for gas distribution.

Tom's early work experience includes serving in the US Navy as a Nuclear Machinist Mate from July 1989 to May 1995.

Tom Bentz completed their Executive MBA - Cohort 71 from the University of St. Thomas from 2019 to 2021. Prior to that, they pursued a degree in Nuclear Engineering Technology from Thomas Edison State University from 1993 to 1997.
