Justin Doak

Justin Doak has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Justin'smost recent position is at Universe, where they currently serve as an Engineering Manager. Prior to this, they held the position of Technical Lead at the same company. Before joining Universe, Justin worked as a Lead Web Engineer at Stable Kernel from 2020 to 2022.

Justin also has experience in software engineering, having worked as a Software Engineer at The Home Depot from 2017 to 2018 and Stable Kernel from 2018 to 2020. Justin also participated in General Assembly's Web Development Immersive program in 2016 to enhance their web development skills.

In addition to their work in the technology field, Justin has a background in education. Justin worked as a Science Teacher Leader and 2nd Grade Teacher at Alachua County Public Schools from 2014 to 2016. Justin also served as a 21st Century Robotics and Engineering Instructor during this time, where they planned and implemented lessons on robotics and engineering for students in grades 2-5.

Prior to their teaching career, Justin worked as a Long Term Substitute Teacher for 2nd Grade at Seminole County Public Schools in 2014, and as a Team Member at a Chick-fil-A Franchise from 2013 to 2014.

Justin Doak has a diverse education history. In 2016, they attended General Assembly and completed a Web Development Immersive program in Computer Software Engineering. Prior to that, from 2008 to 2014, they studied at the University of Central Florida, obtaining a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Elementary Education. In addition to their degree, they hold several certifications including an ESOL Education Endorsement, a K-6 Elementary Education Certification, and a Reading Education Endorsement, all obtained in July 2014 from the Florida Department of Education.
