Karen Winterhalter

Karen possesses over 30 years’ experience within the UK and global healthcare communications industry. Having been the Managing Director of EMEA Healthcare at Burson Marsteller and European Director of Healthcare at Weber Shandwick, Karen has been driven by an innate passion to deliver marketing communications programmes and sales strategies that make a significant difference to the growth of healthcare businesses. Hence, Karen established Onyx Health back in 2003.

Karen’s experience covers a diversity of areas including opinion leader contact at the highest level, market access, advocacy development, social marketing, digital communications, health policy, medical education, corporate communications, issues and crisis management, media relations and strategic management of communications programmes on a global level.

When Karen isn’t working to help healthcare SME’s show off their best self, she loves Jimmy Choo’s, running (not in her Jimmy Choo’s, we hope), drinking red wine and lying on a beach doing absolutely nothing.
